At the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains you will find Wilderness, an area of breathtaking beauty, surrounded by unspoilt beaches.

Wilderness is the definitive “get-away-from-it-all” Garden Route village, with its quaint little shops and restaurants and its “Friday Night Market” where local crafters display their wares, local musicians display their talents, and local (and wannabe local) folk display their aptitude for a jolly good time.

Ocean Moss is situated on a hill overlooking wilderness beach and the calm romantic Serpentine lagoon below (Touw River Estuary). The Serpentine river meanders between the Touw River, Island Lake and Rondevlei, were you can spend hours canoeing and walking at sunrise or enjoying a sip of Champagne at sunset. Laced with natural indigenous forest, this area is perfect for fishing, bird watching, strolling and waterskiing. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, whale and dolphin watching, paragliding, horse riding, scenic drives, day tours, deep sea angling, surfing, kloofing, bungee jumping, kite surfing, sky-diving to name but a few wonderful things to do within a 10 min drive.

The Map of Africa in Wilderness offers breathtaking scenery of forests, lakes, mountains and coastline. Dolphin's Point, a view point, with an excellent vantage from which to enjoy whales & dolphins with a vast panoramic backdrop of the surrounding mountains and accompanying coastline. Kaaimans River Bridge is an excellent place for photographing the Kaaimans river mouth as well as the Outeniqua Choo-Choo that periodically traverses the mouth on a quaint little tunnel bridge.

A visit to Ocean Moss will be a magical escape your will never forget.
